With St. Patrick’s Day fast approaching, here is a list of places that are hosting Irish Fetes for the masses:
March 16th and 17th Fitzgerald’s Irish Tavern will be hosting the largest party downtown, with Nebraska Avenue blocked off for pedestrian use only starting on Wednesday the 16th.
The celebration begins with Finnegan’s Wake. The faux funeral procession (complete with horse-drawn carriage and bagpipers) is held on Wednesday the 16th at 5:30 p.m., and black-clad mourners are encouraged to join the procession. On Wednesday, there will be live music starting at 4:00 p.m., and Thursday, the party goes on all day, with DJ Pete the Hat in the afternoon and band Donegal Hill performing in the evening.
March 17th Beef O’ Brady’s will be serving corned beef and cabbage as well as green beer while supplies last.
March 17th Boulevard Beef and Ale will also be serving corned beef and cabbage.
March 17th Gill Dawg will host The Shakes Society for the first time, along with many specials on drinks and traditional St. Paddy's Day food.
March 17th at The Social will have live music from the band Actual Bank Robbers at 7:00 p.m., as well as rooftop karaoke at 8:00 p.m.
March 17th Bourbon on Main will host a local DJ beginning at 7:00 p.m. and have corned beef and cabbage on the menu.
